Tulips

Sunday after Andy did some studying he joined the us for some tulip planting. Tulips are my favorite. The plan was to put them around all of the trees - but it did really turn out as planned.
More vertical taping - sorry. A very determined Drew digging a hole for our tulip. Excuse the gravel eating, chain smoking voice - the day before I was just squeaking. Sick on my birthday, lucky me.

I was trying to convince Drew to pick up the worm. Sister wanted nothing to do with it, she doesn't even like getting her hands dirty.

I finally convinced him pick it up. He said this worm wiggles a lot. I told him that is why I call him a wiggle worm when he won't hold still - he thought that was funny.
One tree in the back got tulips planted around it, then we moved on to our tree we planted. We started to dig and would hit lots of small roots. I was afraid of what it would do to the tree since it was already struggling a little so we moved on to the front yard. We start digging and hitting roots again. So the front yard has 2 or 3 tulips planted and the backyard has tulips around one tree. I don't know if we could have done this anymore half-assed.
Sister- can you dig it?
My sweet girl's profile.
The kids enjoyed planting the few we planted. Drew asked why our tulips weren't growing yet. Last time we planted something (our garden) we saw thing growing pretty quickly. So I told him we had to wait for the warmer weather to see them. Good question kid, those wheels are always turning.
