Outdoor Play - Bubbles, Singing, Swinging and Lucy in Action

Monday night was beautiful. The yard had dried up so it wasn't a mud pit like on Saturday. It was a little humid, but that couldn't stop us. We had some promises to keep. Recovery Sunday was full of promises that included bubbles and playing catch.
This big bubble contraption didn't even get opened Saturday.

I was trying to give sis some pointers but she was determined to do it her way.
She would dip the bubble wand and then hold it out and shake it. Which resulted in a soapy mom, but few bubbles.
Jillian loves to sing and I don't think it could be cuter.

I shall translate:

I had a tiny turtle. I named him tiny Tim. I put him in the bath tub to see if he could swim. He drank up all the water, he ate up all the soap. Now he's home sick in bed with bubbles in his throat. Bubbles bubbles bubbles, bubbles bubbles bubbles, bubbles bubbles bubbles, bubbles bubbles.......POP!

Drew man trying to help her out with Bingo.
One of my favorite pictures of the day.

This bubble wand was a little more her size and she had more bubble success with it.
She didn't give up on the big one though.
My handsome man!
Instead of shaking she switched to blowing.
And popping with her finger.
Deep thought
Deep breath in...
Blow!
Close my eyes and blow harder.

Okay, time for some swinging.
That giggle melts my heart every time.

Look at the big bubble Drew is about to get.
I think Jillian could swing for hours, if she had a pusher for hours of course.

Action shots to follow
Lots of giggles.
I had this idea to catch her in the up swing and it would look like she was flying in the sky. I took lots of picture trying and posted some of the cute ones.
Closer. Dang tall house uphill from us, you are ruining my vision.

Closer......
Almost.....
She is still having fun.
Here is the one and only with out the house or grass or trees in it. She is not looking and I was laying in the mud, but we finally got it.
Lucy is one viscous dog. She protects our family from all the soft, airy, floating bubbles.

Chomp
Air Lucy
The boys playing catch with the velcro mitts.
Promises full filled, fun had.

My Goofy Little Boy

Most Friday and Saturday nights the kids alternate sleeping in our bed. Jillian was there Friday night, so Saturday night (actually Sunday morning) after the party Drew knew it was his turn. He had been awake for16 plus hours and he was cracking me up with the sleep shades. He is pretending to be asleep if you can't tell.
Wish I knew how to turn this picture. They usually orient themselves.
You can almost see him peeking.
Drew not letting me see his cute face.
Drew kept telling me that he went to three parties and didn't have a nap and he wasn't even tired...... but the moment the lights were turned off, he was out and slept till almost 9:00 am on Sunday.

Graduation Party

The neighborhood boys played golf that morning and at 4:00 it was time for our party!! Below are Andy with a couple of high school friends, Gina and Jackie. Go Bears! My friends from X-ray school, Shelly and Christine came too. I didn't get any pictures of them (I felt like I was on the move most of the evening), but I did of Shelly's little cuties. Below is Jillian with Reece.

Jillian said Reece gorgeous and then she said I gorgeous too. Two gorgeous girls playing dress up :)
My Natural Beauty
A big fun game for all the little ones was putting ice down each other's shirts.

Jillian getting some more ammo.
Our neighbor Abigail was my helper with all the little ones. She pushed them on swings, blew bubbles and organized games.
Owen being Owen. The kids were all loving how Bailey would catch the Frisbee in the air. Owen wanted to know what kind of dog Bailey was. I told him a mutt, so then he told me that he wanted two mutts for his tree house. (By the way, Owen doesn't have a tree house - he he).
Blowing bubbles and eating superhero popsicles.
The boys were all huddled around keg - shocker! Andy's buddy from the Sheriff's department came over for the party. Chris Youtsey, the guys flippin me the bird on the end. Thanks Chris.

Cheers - Don G.
When it turned from evening to night time I gave all the kids glow sticks. They were a hit.
They were all running around, just now we could see where they were. Although we still didn't know who was who.

Bryce Davis, my friend Shelly's little boy and Drew trying to be taller than Bryce. I hate to tell him it's wasn't working.

Drew giving Reese Davis a hug goodbye while carefully holding his cookie.
The adults stayed out and talked for a while and I put in a movie for the kids to chill out to. They are all in a trace from the Bee Movie. Delaney was in charge and she was so excited to be a "babysitter."
It was a super fun party even if I felt like I spent most of the time on my feet. It was for my hubby and I hope he had a great day.
