Thomas the Train

On the 11th we went to Baldwin City for a Day out with Thomas. Thomas the Tank Engine that is. We followed our neighbors Trish and Mason there. Here are the two boys on the school bus to the event.

Me and Sis

Drew and Jillian checking out Thomas while we stood in line to buy our tickets for the train ride. While we were standing there a man came up and gave me one of his tickets because he had a person no show. I tried to pay him for it but he insisted that I just take it. That was a nice surprise for my wallet that day.

We decided to check out the petting zoo to kill some time before our train ride. Not your typical petting zoo. A chill camel.

Some fainting goat and our neighborhood mascot, the alpaca.

Cute Donkey

Little Monkey

A red kangaroo with a joey in her pouch.

Mason loved the animals, Drew liked them but wasn't much into feeding them and Jillian didn't care for them at all. She stayed just outside the little area with the animals. I sometimes wonder if this girl is my child because she is far from an animal lover.
A Tortoise

Drew boarding the train. The engine was a real full size Thomas.

The train ride was 25 minutes long and if you can't tell...... Jillian didn't like the train ride either.

Drew and Mason had a good time.

I love how the sun is glowing behind Drew in this picture. Makes it seem very dreamy.
Little Miss Curly Q waiting for the ride to be over.

The windows were open on the train, but of course you were supposed to keep hands, arms, head etc inside the vehicle at all times.
Breakin the rules, breakin the rules!
What Jillian did LOVE was the bounce house and big slide.

Lots of train to play with and watch.

Sis must have been too tired to stand.
Hot dogs and Cheetos for the ride home. We're health nuts if you couldn't tell.
Drew ate it all of course. His appetite has been extreme lately.
Jillian ate all of her carbs of course, Cheetos and the bun. Don't worry I made them eat a steady diet of green vegetable from then on. "Steady diet of green vegetables" is Drew's famous quote for what a healthy diet is, it is from the Jilli's book Pinkalicous. (Spell checker gave me the options of Pinnacles, Angelico's and Painkiller for Pinkalicous- funny I thought).
